BLUFF CITY SAMS NEWSLETTER August, 2010

I know everyone is looking forward to some cool weather, and although we are slowly approaching those fall days, we continue to experience some extremely hot days & nights, & I felt for the safety and welfare of our members that it was necessary to cancel the campout at the KOA in Marion, AR. In situations like this, I have to realize that I am responsible for the safety & welfare of all of our members when I am forced to make these types of decisions. 

To replace our campout, we are scheduling a dinner meeting next Saturday, August 21^st at 12: Noon in the Garage area at Logan’s Steak House on Germantown Parkway, just north of I-40. I hope everyone will make plans to be there. 

Let me say that our Wagon Master, Walter has worked hard for past couple of weeks in helping to arrange & rearrange our get together. Thanks Walter! 

You don’t want to miss the September campout at Tom Sawyer next month. The Theme will be “Western Days” and we have a lot of fun things planned for this special weekend and I hope you will want to be a part of it. In addition, Rodger & Jenny Cornell has offered to bring their son back to treat us to those delicious crepes Saturday morning. We are looking forward to this.  

Have you got your registration form in for the Fall Samboree? If you plan on going & we hope you are, you need to get them in soon. 

The replacement shirts are here & will be available at the meeting. If you have not paid for your shirts, please help our Treasurer keep her records up to date by submitting your payment to her. Also, some have asked if they could order a long sleeve, or extra shirt later & the answer is yes. At the September campout we would like to know if you would like to order an additional shirt, (size, type, etc), as we will be submitting an order in September.
