BLUFF
CITY SAMS NEWSLETTER
JANUARY
2012
The
Lunch at Central BBQ
was outstanding as
always and everyone
enjoyed the food as
well as the
conversation.
Everyone was happy
to have Joyce
Hutchison and Her
Sister Marilyn
attend our gathering
for lunch. She still
brings things for
RMH when She comes
to join with us here
or at Samborees.
Thank you very much.
It is a pleasure to
have support like
this from past
Members.
Sad
as it is there are
two Units that are
leaving but will
still stay in
contact by becoming
Associate Members.
The Two Units are
the Neal, Ben & Lela
and the McCullers,
Mac. Both units have
been with the
Chapter a long time
and We hate to see
them go but it is
something that we
all must come to
grips with down the
road. Both units
have had long terms
with failing health
and have had to put
their RV’s up for
sale.
I
feel there will be
nothing news fourth
coming from the New
Patch Committee til
after the March
campout when all are
back together.
Committee members
are here, in Texas
and in Florida.
We do
have a By-Laws
Committee as
volunteers have come
forward to fill the
positions. They will
be needed as changes
are going to be
needed after the
State Meeting and to
handle possible
changes to our
By-Laws in other
areas.
Again
for those that
didn’t make the
meeting, The State
Meeting is on March
10th., so
if you have anything
you feel needs to be
brought up at the
State Meeting,
Please get it to me
by the first week in
March.
The
State Web site has
the Registration
form for the Spring
Samboree. Please
down load it, fill
it out, mail it in
and please let me
know you are
attending. Don’t
forget to list the
Chapter on the form
so that we can be
grouped together.
Make
reservation at
Whitten now as sites
are going fast and
Hernando Point sites
are lower numbers
(5,6,and 7) already
taken.
Don’t
forget our web site
is (bluffcitysams.org)
and you need to go
there to get the
latest changes to
our Camping
Schedule, Committee
List, Breakfast Host
List, Hospitals List
with Directions and
Counties where we
camp in case of
severe weather as
all these are being
or have been up
dated.
We
had a nice amount of
supplies for RMH so
let us keep it up in
the coming Months.
They can use all
they can get.
Don’t
forget to pray for
those that are of
Ill Health or going
through hard time. I
have also been told
that the Phone no
matter how smart is
easy to use and the
person you call may
be looking for a
kind word from a
familiar voice.
Keep
the rubber on the
road and enjoy life.
Till next time.
